Story

Early summer, the water lilies awaken. Light leaks through the clouds, falling upon the petals and ripples, shattering into fragments of dancing gold.

Monet spent a lifetime painting water lilies, chasing the elusive light. Through the medium of high-temperature glaze, Xianyue Lee seeks to record that same moment of profound stillness: the purity of the white blossom, the fluid movement of the water, and the flickering, golden, evanescent reflections. The natural flow of the glaze at 1300°C is perfectly suited to capturing what is otherwise ungraspable—the very temperature of light.

  • The Alchemy of Fire: Fired at 1300°C, this piece is created solely through the natural transformation of mineral glazes.

Installation:
Due to the weight of the ceramic panel, this piece should be leaned against a wall or hung using professional picture rails or heavy-duty hooks. Adhesive strips or "no-drill" stickers are not recommended.
