One Shower Studio | Porcelain Shaped by Nature and Rain
Here in the south, the sky is always bringing rain, one shower after another.
Based in Hangzhou, One Shower Studio takes its name from the founder’s days painting ceramics in an old porcelain factory.
Her work begins with forms borrowed from nature: leaves, flowers, seeds, fruits, and other small shapes found in the everyday landscape. These quiet observations are translated onto porcelain, painted by hand, and transformed through fire into delicate pieces made to be worn close to the ear.

There is a simplicity to her work that feels deliberate rather than polished away. Slight irregularities, soft colors, and the natural character of porcelain are allowed to remain, giving each piece a warm, tactile presence.
Simple, rustic, and unpretentious.
Like rain falling softly, light, natural, and just enough.

From Nature to Porcelain
Nature is the starting point for much of One Shower Studio’s work.
Rather than reproducing botanical forms exactly, the founder distills them into small, intuitive shapes that retain something of their original rhythm and character.
A leaf may become a curve.
A flower may become a tiny painted form.
A seed or fruit may be reduced to a simple silhouette.
Through porcelain, these fragments of nature become small objects that can be carried into everyday life.

Made by Hand, Finished by Fire
Each piece is shaped, painted, and fired through a process that leaves room for variation.
The kiln brings subtle changes in color, surface, and form, so no two pieces are completely identical.
These small differences are part of the work itself, preserving the marks of the hand and the unpredictability of fire.
For One Shower Studio, beauty lives in this balance: between refinement and roughness, intention and chance, nature and the human hand.
