Inspired by the Fish Joy painting by Southern Song artist Zhou Dunqing, artist ShiYu brings the painting’s calm, carefree goldfish onto glassware. When you sip tea or wine, the gentle movement of water makes the fish seem to swim along the walls of the cup—like holding a small, peaceful pond in your hands. A simple sip becomes an invitation to slow down and enjoy a quiet moment of poetic ease.

Materials

  • High-borosilicate glass painted with glass-specific, lead- & cadmium-free pigments. Handmade and kiln-fired at 580°C.
  • Each piece is shaped, painted, and finished entirely by hand. Because of this handmade process, slight variations in brushwork, pattern density, and placement are natural and celebrated—your piece is truly one of a kind, crafted with intention and care by the artist.
