One wildflower, standing tall in its own little world.

Wildflower I features a bold, hand-painted bloom with dark, radiating petals and long, sculptural leaves. Small star-like marks and scattered dots bring a playful rhythm to the composition, set against a naturally speckled stoneware surface.

The contrast between the expressive black artwork and the warm, understated ceramic body gives this plate a distinctive yet uncomplicated presence. Created by Xinfeng Wang, it celebrates the imperfect beauty of handmade objects and the quiet joy of bringing art into everyday life.

Style it on a shelf, display it on a plate stand, or pair it with other handmade ceramics for a naturally collected look.

Dimensions

16 cm diameter / 6.3 in

Materials

Hand-thrown and hand-pinched stoneware, decorated with underglaze or in-glaze techniques. Fired at high temperatures (1220–1280°C) for durability and a unique rustic texture.

Each piece is shaped and painted entirely by hand. Subtle variations in brushstrokes, glaze tones, and pattern placement are a natural part of the process, making every piece truly one of a kind.

Time to make

15–20 days

Care

Not microwave or oven safe. Hand wash gently with mild soap. Due to the porous nature of stoneware, temporary "rain-leak" spots may appear when wet but will vanish once dry. For best results, soak in rice water overnight before first use to season the clay.
