Mogu, often translated as the traditional Chinese “boneless” painting technique, creates form directly through layered washes of ink and color, without relying on outlined contours.

The painting is currently not fully mounted or framed. The silk artwork is backed with Xuan paper for support and will be carefully rolled for shipping.

Each artwork is individually painted by hand in the tradition of Chinese bird-and-flower painting, using fine brushwork, carefully layered color, and techniques suited to each composition. Because every piece is painted by hand, slight differences from the reference images are natural and expected. These variations make each recreated artwork uniquely its own.

Jing Li

Trained in traditional Chinese flower-and-bird painting at the China Academy of Art, Li Jing draws inspiration from seasonal blossoms, classical brushwork, and the quiet poetry of nature. Rooted in the traditions of Song and Yuan painting, her work brings together delicate ink, restrained color, and a contemporary sense of stillness, carrying the grace and warmth of Chinese painting into everyday spaces.
