Long, slender leaves stretch across Silken Light in overlapping lines of turquoise and muted green. Pale metallic passages and delicate engraved marks glint as the room grows brighter. The fluid composition is the result of two to three months of work, with carving, lacquer spraying, and careful sanding slowly building its depth and finish. Tiny lines and flashes of gold emerge at a closer distance, giving each leaf its own character. From across the room, the colors settle into a tranquil green, a lovely presence in a light-filled hallway or a simple space with natural wood.
