The Alchemy of Fire: Fired at 1300°C, this piece is created solely through the natural transformation of mineral glazes.
Pure Expression: Unlike traditional ceramics, Lee uses no additional pigments or painting layers. The entire scene emerges from the artist’s mastery of Yaobian (kiln transformation) a delicate balance between human control and the soul of the fire.

Installation:
Due to the weight of the ceramic panel, this piece should be leaned against a wall or hung using professional picture rails or heavy-duty hooks. Adhesive strips or "no-drill" stickers are not recommended.

Inspired by the quiet elegance of traditional Chinese literati painting, Between Stone and Bloom captures a refined summer garden moment on a high-fired ceramic panel.

In her leisure time during summer, Xianyue Lee often returns to the practice of classical ink painting. She observes the rhythm of garden stones, the movement of grasses and the gentle presence of flowers, elements long cherished in Chinese scholar gardens and literati art.

In this work, a pale pink blossom leans softly beside blue-green rocks and delicate stems. The composition carries the spirit of Chinese ink painting, yet the surface is transformed through glaze and fire. Soft colors bloom into the ceramic body, while mineral textures, flowing glaze marks, and subtle tonal shifts bring the ancient garden scene to life.
