Blue jacarandas are rarely seen in the ancient town. The encounter felt like a small gift from the old streets, a fleeting moment of beauty appearing where she least expected it.

Inspired by this quiet surprise, Xianyue Lee captured the delicate branches, soft petals and peaceful atmosphere through high-fired ceramic art. During the firing process, the flames seemed to join the creation, transforming the original colors and textures into a unique ceramic expression while preserving the memory of that afternoon encounter.

It invites you into a hidden corner of the ancient town, a place where flowers bloom quietly, time slows down, and beauty appears unexpectedly.

Pure Expression: Unlike traditional ceramics, Lee uses no additional pigments or painting layers. The entire scene emerges from the artist’s mastery of Yaobian (kiln transformation) a delicate balance between human control and the soul of the fire.

Due to the weight of the ceramic panel, this piece should be leaned against a wall or hung using professional picture rails or heavy-duty hooks. Adhesive strips or "no-drill" stickers are not recommended.
