High-Temperature Glaze Ceramic Painting –Lotus in the Breeze I (Original 1/1)
Story
The inspiration for this piece came from a moment of profound silence in a lotus pond after a summer rain. Expansive blue-green leaves flow and permeate under high heat, creating a galaxy-like texture that seems to meld the night sky with the water's surface.
The blue lotus, partially submerged and pressed beneath the leaves, was a deliberate choice by Lee—a representation of the obscured yet persistent beauty in our lives. The white expanse at the bottom preserves the lightest traces of "Yaobian" (kiln transformation), serving as the "breathing room" of the painting. Through this work, Lee presents a cool yet resilient strength: no matter how heavy the leaves may be, they cannot suppress the heart of a flower destined to bloom.
